This role presents an exciting opportunity to join one of the fastest-growing teams at my client's firm and play a pivotal role in its continued success. With a robust team of over 150 legal professionals nationwide, the Health team is renowned for providing exemplary legal counsel to the NHS and independent healthcare organizations.
 
The Costs Team comprises seasoned litigation experts strategically positioned across the country. Armed with extensive experience in navigating intricate costs litigation, budgeting, appeals, and more, the team stands ready to tackle the legal challenges of today. Expect to find their experienced advocates representing clients in courtrooms across the nation.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage a caseload independently, overseeing schedules of costs, bills of costs, and negotiations toward settlements.
  • Focus primarily on adverse costs claims in multi-track matters.
  • Embrace autonomy in work, overseeing files from inception to resolution.
 
What My Client is Seeking:
Essential:
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a caseload independently.
  • Proficiency in drafting points of dispute.
  • Strong IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Office.
  • Familiarity with the CPR and relevant legal statutes.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and research skills.
  • Adherence to established guidelines and procedures.
  • Collaborative spirit alongside the ability to work autonomously.
 
Previous exposure to clinical negligence costs would be advantageous.
