Construction Litigation Associate

London – £90,000 - £100,000

Our client is seeking a Construction Litigation solicitor to join it's esteemed Construction team on a permanent, full-time basis. The ideal candidates will possess 2 – 7 years PQE, preferably gained from another top-tier real estate/construction law firm. Please note that this role will primarily involve handling contentious construction matters.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage contentious construction matters and offer dispute advisory services, including ADR, expert determinations, adjudications, and enforcement proceedings in the TCC.
  • Address a diverse range of issues such as final account and delay claims, quality of build disputes, construction insolvency, bond claims, ACM cladding, professional indemnity, and other insurance-related claims.
  • Provide technical legal and commercial advice to clients involved in construction disputes.
  • Collaborate closely with the Development and Real Estate Finance teams, contributing to commercial and residential development schemes.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Proven experience in senior-level work involving both contentious and non-contentious construction matters.
  • 4+ years PQE in construction litigation.
  • Detailed knowledge of adjudication practice and procedures.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage client deadlines.
  • Excellent client-facing skills, operating as a 'trusted advisor.'
  • Broad technical grounding across real estate.
  • Commercial approach to problem-solving, offering innovative solutions to both the firm and clients.
  • Ability to supervise, mentor, and develop junior team members.
