Personal Injury Paralegal-Cycling Claims

A Cycling Claims or Personal Injury Paralegal/Fee Earner  is wanted for an excellent opportunity with a Top 50 law firm based in Manchester. Salary is negotiable depending on experience.

My client is an award winning, national firm with an enviable reputation in the market. Working for this forward thinking firm there is a pleasant working environment, excellent benefits along with opportunities for progression and development. Remote working is also available.

Due to continued growth and expansion, they are looking to recruit a Cycling Claims or Personal Injury Paralegal/Fee Earner to join their award winning team. You will manage your own caseload of files representing cyclists who have suffered, often complex, injuries as a result of accidents.

Duties will include:
  • Preparing for and submitting CNFs/letters of claim
  • Instructing engineers
  • Drafting schedules of special damages and obtaining evidence in support
  • Drafting of client and witness statements
  • Preparing instructions to medical experts and counsel & drafting court documents
  • Obtaining, reviewing and collating medical records
  • Researching case law on liability and quantum
  • Preparing advice on liability, quantum and causation
  • Preparing court bundles
The ideal candidate will have at least 12 months experience running your own caseload of Personal Injury/RTA files and you will have a good understanding of the CPR rules. Experience working on cycling claims would be beneficial but this is not essential.
