My client in in the market for a Court of Protection Solicitor with 1-5 years PQE to join their well-established and reputable Legal 500 firm situated in central Manchester. The firm, known for its strong national presence, is recognized as one of the leading multi-service practices in the country.

The role entails a range of responsibilities, including handling a case load of Court of Protection financial matters, encompassing deputyship and court applications. The solicitor will also be responsible for managing client accounts in relation to Court of Protection cases, collaborating with investment managers on financial matters, and addressing care and gift applications. Importantly, this opening is a result of the firm's expansion and offers the opportunity to work on high-quality cases.

The successful candidate should be a qualified solicitor who has some expertise in Court of Protection matters. The firm is open to considering candidates with a background in mental health law and relevant experience. Candidate who have experience drafting applications for the appointment of deputies, for property and affairs, whilst also working on statutory will applications, gift and care applications along with annual OPG accounts. 

Prospective candidates interested in this position are expected to have the requisite legal qualifications and experience in Court of Protection law. They should also be prepared to work in the central Manchester office with hybrid working available.
