Construction Solicitor

Greater London – £76,000 - £85,000

A National UK law firm – consistently ranked in the Top 50 in the country – is seeking a talented Non-Contentious Construction Solicitor to join its leading Construction & Engineering team. Known for its strength across infrastructure, transport, energy (including nuclear and renewables), and defence, this is one of the largest and most well-regarded teams in the UK legal market.

This is an outstanding opportunity to work at the forefront of the sector, advising on complex and high-value UK and international projects. The role offers direct exposure to blue-chip clients including government agencies, regulators, banks, major developers, and energy providers. Typical projects range from large-scale urban redevelopment schemes and highways infrastructure to energy transition, offshore wind, nuclear, and hydrogen innovation.

The Role
You’ll advise clients on the full spectrum of construction and engineering matters, with a focus on contract negotiation and project advisory work. You’ll draft and negotiate key industry standard contracts (e.g. NEC, FIDIC, JCT) as well as bespoke agreements, joint ventures, and framework arrangements. The team’s work often involves collaboration across real estate, corporate, banking, and regulatory teams – so there is plenty of opportunity to gain exposure to multidisciplinary, sector-shaping work.

You’ll also be encouraged to contribute to business development, knowledge sharing, and client relationship management – supporting your long-term progression within the team.

Who This Will Suit
  • Qualified solicitor (England & Wales) with 1+ years PQE in non-contentious construction.
  • A strong interest in infrastructure, energy, or transport sectors
  • Familiarity with NEC, FIDIC, and JCT contracts
  • Excellent communication and drafting skills
  • Comfortable working as part of a collaborative, high-performing team
  • Strong commercial acumen and a solutions-focused approach

Why Apply?
  • Join one of the UK’s top Construction & Engineering teams, with deep sector expertise and strong client relationships
  • Work on some of the most high-profile and future-shaping infrastructure projects in the country
  • Benefit from a strong, people-first culture – with a real focus on mentorship, training, and long-term career growth
  • Hybrid working (typically 2–3 days in-office) and an emphasis on flexibility and work/life balance
  • Named one of the Best Law Firms to Work At for several consecutive years
  • Investors in People Platinum Accreditation
  • Competitive salary rate (£79,000+)
This is a fantastic opportunity for a construction solicitor who’s looking to take on complex and rewarding work, with the backing of an inclusive and forward-thinking team.
