Pensions Associate
London – £140,000 - £160,000
A leading international law firm is seeking a junior to mid-level associate to join its specialist pensions team in London. This is a unique opportunity to work on a wide range of corporate, advisory and contentious pensions matters for a high-profile client base, including major insurers, corporates, and public sector bodies.
The role sits within the firm’s Employment, Pensions, and Incentives (EPI) group and focuses exclusively on pensions-related work, not blended with employment or remuneration matters.
Key Responsibilities - Advising trustees, employers, and scheme administrators on scheme management and compliance
- Supporting corporate transactions involving pensions liabilities
- Advising on scheme reorganisations, wind-ups, funding issues, and risk management strategies
- Contributing to cross-practice pensions litigation and regulatory advice
- Drafting scheme documentation and amendments
Ideal Candidate Profile - 1.5 –5 years’ PQE, with strong pensions experience from a City or respected regional firm
- Good academic background
- Clear commitment to private practice and an interest in working on technically complex matters
- Strong drafting skills and ability to provide commercially-minded advice
