Greater London – £65,000 - £85,000
In Brief: A highly regarded City of London-based law firm is looking to appoint a Private Client Solicitor to join its specialist team. This is an excellent opportunity for a personable, detail-focused lawyer to support individuals and families through some of life’s most important transitions. Salary, we anticipate will be upwards of £65,000 and dependent on experience which will be determined at interview.
The Role: Working as part of a close-knit and supportive team, the successful candidate will focus on delivering high-quality private client work, acting on behalf of a broad church including HNW individuals and families, with the day to day including:
- Drafting Wills and Letters of Wishes for a broad client base
- Preparing and registering Lasting Powers of Attorney (LPAs)
- Advising on Deputyship applications and mental capacity issues
- Administering estates from start to finish, including probate applications, inheritance tax reporting, and distribution of assets
- Supporting vulnerable clients with sensitivity and clarity
- Maintaining excellent client relationships through clear, compassionate communication
You will have the autonomy to manage your own caseload, with access to technical support and experienced colleagues when needed.
Candidate Profile This role suits a solicitor with a genuine interest in traditional private client work, who values empathy, accuracy, and long-term relationships.
Essential requirements:
- Qualified solicitor (England & Wales)
- Experience in Wills, LPAs, and probate work (ideally 2+ years PQE)
- Comfortable handling estate administration from start to finish
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities
