Real Estate Solicitor

Birmingham – £55,000 - £65,000

Junior Real Estate Solicitor – Public Sector Focus (0–2 PQE)
Location: Birmingham | Top 100 Law Firm

I’m working on a fantastic opportunity with a highly respected Top 100 law firm that’s continuing to expand its real estate offering within the public sector space. The team is widely recognised for its expertise in advising local authorities and public bodies, and they’re now looking to bring a junior solicitor on board to support this exciting period of growth.

The Team & Vision

This firm has carved out a strong reputation as a trusted partner to local government clients, supporting complex, large-scale projects that are reshaping communities. From strategic land acquisitions and regeneration schemes to innovative joint ventures, the team operates at the heart of local government transformation.
Their ambition is clear: to be the go-to legal adviser for the public sector. They don’t just interpret the law—they work in partnership with clients to navigate political sensitivities, deliver commercially sound solutions, and make a genuine impact.
The Role
Joining this collegiate and forward-thinking team, you'll get hands-on exposure to some of the most interesting and high-profile real estate work happening in the public sector today. Your day-to-day will involve:
  • Supporting senior lawyers and partners on development and regeneration projects
  • Advising on a wide range of commercial property transactions
  • Building relationships with clients that go beyond the transactional
  • Mentoring junior colleagues where appropriate
  • Engaging in business development—through events, training sessions, and tender contributions
  • Providing commercially astute advice, always with the local government context in mind
  • Playing an active role in shaping the growth of the team
This is a superb opportunity for a junior lawyer who wants to combine strong technical training with a socially impactful career trajectory.

What They’re Looking For

The ideal candidate will bring:
  • Solid experience in commercial property—this may have been gained during training or post-qualification
  • An interest in or exposure to the public sector (though this isn’t a requirement)
  • A strong academic record and grounding in real estate law
  • A collaborative and confident approach, with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • A commitment to delivering high-quality, pragmatic legal solutions
  • A genuine interest in the role law can play in shaping local communities
Why This Firm?

Beyond the quality of work, this firm is known for its supportive culture, clear career development pathways, and its long-term commitment to the public sector. You’ll be working with like-minded individuals who are passionate about making a difference while enjoying the structure and resources of a top-tier commercial law firm.
