Public Law and Human Rights Solicitor
Birmingham – £47,000 - £55,000
My client is a national law firm and they are looking to recruit a Public Law and Human Rights Solicitor to join their team in Birmingham. Salary will be £55,000 DOE with flexible working and 2 days in the office a week.
The Role:
This position sits within the firm’s Public Law and Human Rights team, with a focus on Civil Liberties work. The team handles a wide range of claims against public bodies, including:
- Actions against the police and local authorities
- Inquests
- Human rights litigation
- Judicial reviews
- Welfare and serious medical treatment cases in the Court of Protection
You’ll be running your own caseload that will include complex, litigated matter. You will also have the opportunity to supervising junior colleagues. You will be encouraged to get involved in business development.

The idea candidate will be 1-5 PQE with previous Public Law and Human Rights experience. However, PQE is just a guideline as with the amount of work the team brings in there will be opportunities at all levels.
