There will be blood

With Halloween round the corner staff at Douglas Scott Legal Recruitment decided to mark the occasion by spilling a bit of blood. 

Senior Recruitment Consultant Laura Shepherd and her colleagues at Douglas Scott shrugged off any initial fears they had about the process and donated a total of 25 pints over the last week. 

Less than 3% of people aged between 17 and 70 living in England have donated blood in the last year and the NHS Blood and Transplant is calling on 100,000 to register to become a blood donor between 15th August and 31st October. Currently, over 6,000 donations are needed each day to treat patients across the country.

Laura commented “It was a great effort from all the guys here. The nurses at the centre were fantastic, they looked after us and we even got a cup of tea and a biscuit.”
