National Apprenticeship Week 2015

Posted in Latest News on 10 Mar 2015

Its National Apprenticeship Week #NAW2015 and here at Douglas Scott we are thrilled to be able to highlight the successes of both our past and current apprentices.

Now, more than ever, young people are searching for ways to enter the world of recruitment without spending tens of thousands of pounds on University fees. We understand that to get qualified is becoming more expensive year on year, and even once those qualifications are achieved, firms are now looking more than ever for people with experience.

Here at Douglas Scott we think that apprenticeships are the perfect way to introduce young people to different career options. It provides them with the opportunity to earn money, gain qualifications and to gain experience in their chosen area. By working hard to gain their qualifications alongside their work, the apprentice shows a great deal of dedication to their career – an accolade which should be recognised!

Our three past apprentices have each gained promotions into roles within our recruitment, marketing and IT teams, having shown their dedication to these areas of the business. We are also lucky enough to have two more apprentices currently working to gain respectively their Level 2 and Level 3 NVQ’s in Business Administration.

As a business we see apprenticeships as an excellent way to support young people, and we plan to continue offering them year on year. Thank you to all of our apprentices for your hard work, and we look forward to working with you as your careers continue to grow!
