Professional recruitment firms now have 20% more vacancies on their books than this time last year according to new survey data from APSCo. Temporary and Contract vacancies are also up 8%.
APSCO's data shows that demand continues to drive increases in professional salaries. Engineering saw an 11.11% increase, indicative of an on-going skills shortage and pressure on employers to pay above the norm to entice the very best talent to their organisation.
Last month Douglas Scott reported on the increase in demand for talent across the Legal sector citing Residential Conveyancing where candidates are securing an average 8% salary increase on a move.
