My client is highly regarded by the Legal 500 and Chambers & Partners UK, specialising in criminal defence, family law, housing, civil liberties, and human rights.
Role and Responsibilities:
• As a Children Panel Lawyer, you will be part of the Child Care department
• The team represents a diverse range of clients, including parents, Guardians children, adopters, foster carers, kinship carers, and provides expert advice on all aspects of child care law.
• Firm has several members of the Law Society Children's Panel, Family Panel, and Resolution accredited specialists.
• They handle Child Abduction cases and benefit from a team of expert lawyers who can provide assistance.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Acting as a Children Panel member with a guardian following, contributing to family teams in London branches.
• Handling all aspects of child care work, providing advice and assistance to other team members.
• Collaborating with the team to manage caseloads of varying complexities.
• Engaging in advocacy wherever possible to ensure consistency for our clients.
• Managing a variety of work, including public law, child protection, Special Guardianship Orders (SGO), and adoption matters.
• Being a highly motivated and dedicated team player to facilitate ongoing change and encourage cross referrals of work.
• Previous experience at this level and a following is highly desirable.
• Demonstrating a passion for publicly funded work and encouraging team development.
About You:
• Experience in advocacy and a strong desire to develop.
• Qualification as a Solicitor or Legal Executive,
with at least 3 years PQE.• Possession of the Law Society's Children Law accreditation.
• Excellent client care skills.
