An excellent and exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced litigation secretary to join my clients highly reputable and established team.
The successful legal secretary will have experience in personal injury and/or family law, and who is confident and proactive.
- Working in a team to provide administrative support to Fee Earners within the litigation department. - Liaising with experts, counsel, witnesses and the court - To prepare correspondence and documents through audio and copy typing - Use of accounting and time recording software - Checking documents for accuracy - Costing of files for the purpose of cost update letters and billing - Taking telephone messages - Making appointments, managing diaries and seeing to the reasonable requirements of clients - Use of photocopier, scanner and fax machine where necessary - To prepare mail and enclosures for dispatch
- Good academic record - Secretarial experience in Litigation is essential - Use of the Proclaim Case Management system would be an advantage. - Experience of PI Portals an advantage
The role is full time working 9am - 5.15pm Monday to Friday
Emily joined Douglas Scott in March 2017, initially as part of the Master Vendor team of consultants focusing on the recruitment for one specialised client account. Emily went on to join the National Support desk where she concentrated on business support roles within law firms. Currently Emily works on the National Insurance desk covering the South West region working with a range of small regional practices, boutique firms and larger national practices including well-established departments as well as emerging firms. Emily graduated from the University of Central Lancashire in 2016 and studied Criminology and Criminal Justice. Previous to this, she completed her A-levels in Business studies, ICT and Sociology.
