Catastrophic Injury Solicitor - 6 month Fixed Term Contract (Potential to go permanent)
A well established claimant firm based in the heart of Bath require a catastrophic injury solicitor to join their personal injury team on a full time basis. The role is currently a fixed term contract for 6 months however, has potential to go permanent.
The successful candidate must be a Grade A fee earner with catastrophic injury experience including spinal & brain injury claims.
Main duties include:
- To consistently deliver a high standard of legal advice to clients in a commercially astute manner, delivering outstanding client service at all times. - To assist with the marketing of the department's services and undertaking business development activities to build on the firm and team's reputation for excellence. - Manage a caseload under supervision, dealing effectively with cases and transactions - Manage time recording, WIP monitoring and billing consistently, meeting targets and objectives set - Deal directly with client to take instructions and ensures full understanding in order to deliver on client expectations - Research and draft article and assists with the production of marketing materials - Begin to develop a network of clients, contacts and potential referrers and attends networking events - Encourages juniors/ trainees and gives feedback to assist their learning, effectively delegating tasks where appropriate
Emily joined Douglas Scott in March 2017, initially as part of the Master Vendor team of consultants focusing on the recruitment for one specialised client account. Emily went on to join the National Support desk where she concentrated on business support roles within law firms. Currently Emily works on the National Insurance desk covering the South West region working with a range of small regional practices, boutique firms and larger national practices including well-established departments as well as emerging firms. Emily graduated from the University of Central Lancashire in 2016 and studied Criminology and Criminal Justice. Previous to this, she completed her A-levels in Business studies, ICT and Sociology.
