Junior Legal Cashier
My client are a rapidly growing law firm with offices across Lancashire, specialising in Conveyancing. Due to a period of growth, the firm are now looking to add a Junior Legal Cashier to their stable and long lasting finance team.
Your responsibilities as a Legal Cashier will include:
To process and record all financial transactions in accordance with the Solicitors Accounts Rules (SARs) and the firm's internal policies
Processing and recording electronic payments in and out of the firm's bank accounts
Logging and banking incoming cheques, issuing cheques, petty cash and bank transfers, billing and cost transfers
Conducting reconciliations of bank, petty cash accounts, and client ledgers in accordance with the SARs
Identifying and implementing opportunities for improvement across finance processes.
Producing monthly and annual reports
To be successful you will have previous Legal Cashier experience, be fully compliant with the solicitor's accounts rules and have experience using or knowledge of the Proclaim case management system.

Lilly returned to Douglas Scott in 2017 following a one and a half year stint working in Finance recruitment. Following her promotion to Associate Recruitment Consultant, she now oversees our Legal Business Support functions and team. She works with a variety of clients from large scale international companies to smaller high street firms; her own focus centres around the recruitment of professionals including (but not limited to) HR and Business Development Managers, IT staff, Legal Secretaries, Personal Assistants, and Financial Controllers within the North West region. Lilly has previous legal recruitment experience acting as a resourcer for the Douglas Scott Locum team as well as working across key accounts, including those of Master Vendor status. Outside of work Lilly is a keen rambler and hiker who enjoys being outdoors.
