An experienced Employment Law Solicitor is required for a high quality firm based in Liverpool city centre. Due to an increased workload the firm are looking for an Employment Solicitor (1 - 5PQE) to join the department to handle a caseload under the supervision of the Senior Solicitor. Experience/knowledge of both claimant and respondent matters is essential. This role would suit a junior solicitor looking to enter an established department to propel their career and progress to the next step.
The department deals with both claimant and respondent matters, the incoming work is largely 50/50 therefore you will ideally have experience of both sides of Employment law. If your expertise lies within claimant/respondent but you have a strong working knowledge of the other, the firm are happy to consider this and fill in any gaps in your knowledge.
You will handle a full caseload that includes active tribunal matters and will advise on a variety of non contentious matters such as employment contracts. You will assist the Head of dept with more complex matters to further your knowledge. The department offers a variety of HR/Employment services to a range of business from SME's to Regional firms.
This position is client facing therefore you should be motivated, informed and have excellent communication skills. You will be expected to maintain these relationships and develop the contact where possible. There is full time assistance available for this role and your progression will be encouraged by the Senior solicitor.
