Clinical negligence - Senior Paralegal

My client, A legal 500 , well established firm based in Bristol requires a Senior Paralegal to join their specialist clinical negligence department. This is an exciting opportunity for someone from a clinical background who wants to retrain to become a qualified lawyer whilst using their clinical skill set and gaining invaluable practical legal experience within an established specialist department.
You will be an integral part of a top-ranked specialist team, dealing with the firms new clinical negligence enquiries.
Your role as a senior clinical negligence paralegal will consist of being the first point of contact for potential new clients contacting the department with enquiries relating to clinical negligence. You will take a detailed history from the potential client for the purpose of assessing, with the assistance of senior fee earners, whether the firm can assist with the client's enquiry.
For the right candidate, the firm (Legal 500) will facilitate a route to qualification as a lawyer.
Essential experience required:
- Experience of working in a clinical setting
- Clinical qualification, for example Registered Nurse, Registered Midwife, Registered Mental Health Nurse, Paramedic
- Experience of regular customer contact by phone and in person
- Good working knowledge of anatomy and physiology
- Computer literate, with experience of Microsoft Office, which must include Word and Outlook
- Experience of working in a law firm
- Working towards CILEx Level 3/law degree
