Douglas Scott's three strong Yorkshire team were delighted to be invited to attend the Leeds Law Society Annual Dinner on 8th March. Joanne, Nina and Gemma thoroughly enjoyed their evening at The Queens hotel in Leeds, getting the chance to chat with many of their clients whilst celebrating all that is great within Yorkshire legal. Speeches from His Honour, Judge Collier QC, Recorder of Leeds and the current President of the Law Society, Philip Jordan were followed by a hilarious address from Robbie Glen, a former Governor of Scottish Prisons. Many congratulations go to the winner of the President's Award, Jonathan Jones of Squire Sanders. The ladies are already planning what to wear for next year's event!
The Midland hotel in Manchester played host to the Manchester Legal Awards on 1st March. We can proudly boast to having the largest presence on the night amongst all the legal recruiters that were in attendance; a reflection of our strength in the legal recruitment market here in the North West. Huge congratulations go out to all the well-deserved winners on the night. Of special note is Roberts Jackson Solicitors who won Small Firm of the Year. Oliver Jackson, one of the Directors, has torn himself away from his very successful practice for a few moments to be the focus of our interview in this month's newsletter.
