It’s International Day of Happiness and we are certainly in high spirits in the Douglas Scott office today.

Last night, the English Women’s Awards North 2018 took place and our managing director Kathryn Riley took home the award for Business Woman of the Year. Douglas Scott Legal Recruitment’s Managing Director was nominated in the Business Woman of the Year category and emerged as the winner on the night. A testament to the hard work and commitment demonstrated by Kath over the 15 years she has been in business and an endorsement of the strength of the management team, recruitment consultants and business support cast who have helped shape Douglas Scott into the UK’s largest legal recruitment consultancy.

The awards which were in their first year set out to acknowledge and celebrate the achievements of women from across the public and private sectors, while providing a platform to inspire others through their inspirational stories. There were 31 award categories acknowledging and celebrating the achievements of British Women in business, not for profit, education, the arts, media and science among other sectors.
