London Legal Walk

Posted in Latest News on 19 May 2015

On Monday our Managing Director Kath Riley, and three of our consultants Laura Shepherd, Emily Oakes and Lisa Spink joined thousands of lawyers and legal professionals on the London Legal Walk; a 10k ‘after work’ hike around the sites of our capital.

The purpose of the Walk is to raise much needed funds for free legal advice organisations in London and the South East, and grant access to justice for the most vulnerable people in our society.

Organised by The London Legal Support Trust (LLST), it is estimated that nearly 9,000 legal professionals pounded the streets of London yesterday evening including Lord Neuberger, the President of the Supreme Court, Lord Thomas, the Lord Chief Justice, and Lord Dyson, Master of the Rolls.

“This is the third year that Douglas Scott have participated in the walk” said Kath. “The event itself was fantastic. There was a wonderful atmosphere around the course and it was great to catch up with some of our clients at the street party afterwards. And, despite a few more blisters and aches this morning, we are thrilled to have contributed again to such a worthy cause – so thank you as well to our sponsors who donated.”

If you haven't yet had a chance to donate, but would like to, then please do so here.
