Full marks for Compliance

Posted in News on 10 Jun 2014

Douglas Scott Legal Recruitment has been members of the Recruitment and Employment Confederation (REC) for ten years now. The REC is the professional body for the recruitment industry representing 3,506 corporate members - recruitment's Law Society if you like.

Recently the REC introduced an online Compliance Test to assess consultancies knowledge of the relevant industry legislation and their Code of Professional Practice. This is now a part of their rigorous application process and it is also utilised when existing REC members renew their membership.

The online Compliance Test is made up of a series of questions in a multiple choice format. These questions cover key industry legislation and in particular the Conduct of Employment Agencies and Employment Businesses Regulations 2003 and the REC Code of Professional Practice. When consultancies join the REC they sign up to the Code which requires basic Statutory Compliance as well as high ethical standards.

Our Quality Manager, Aimee Rwathore, took the test in May and achieved the full 100%. It is a fantastic achievement and another endorsement of the great work we are doing here at Douglas Scott Legal Recruitment.

Douglas Scott are the only REC and APSCo affiliated legal recruitment specialists with an ISO9001 accredited Quality Management System.
