As a Recruitment Consultant
If you are a recruitment consultant with a proven record of
achievement then we want to hear from you. Legal recruitment
experience is an advantage but is not essential; recruitment
consultants from professional services, IT and general commercial
backgrounds have all made a successful transition to the sector,
within our supportive team structure.
As a Trainee from a legal background
We have a number of recruitment consultants in our ranks who
have successfully made the transition from legal. Whether you are a
Solicitor, FILEX, Paralegal, Costs Professional or in Business
Support a job as a recruitment consultant at Douglas Scott could be
for you.
The job is hard but rewarding. To succeed you must be a
people person, a good networker and communicator, solution driven
and able to deliver high levels of client servicing. You
should understand that recruitment is a demanding sales
environment but for the most successful take home pay can
exceed associate and partner level salaries.
As an A Level or Graduate Trainee
As part of our commitment to talent development we take on a
number of trainees each year, in recognition of the high cost
of a university education our scheme is open to both high achieving
graduates and A level candidates. In 2011 we plan to take on 2
trainees, we already have 1 of those on board. We will
advertise the 2nd trainee role on our site in the 2nd half of
the year.

Douglas Scott Legal Recruitment is a leading independent
recruiter focusing on the recruitment of Solicitors, Paralegals and
Support Staff into Private Practice and Commercial Law firms across
England and Wales. Modest about our achievements we are firmly
focused on our objectives.
We are not the longest established legal recruitment
consultants but we like to think we are the fasting moving. We
are not the new kids on the block but retain a hunger to go out
and build new relationships in the legal recruitment market. We
are a hard working bunch and expect targets to be achieved but this
is not a pressure cooker sales
environment; ours is a friendly, relaxed
place to work, in a stylish office
environment, utilising the latest recruitment
technology to make our consultants' jobs easier.
In order that our employees can achieve a better work / life
balance we have a working week of 9 to 5.30 Monday to Thursday,
5.00 on a Friday. Highest weekly achievers get to finish at 4.00pm
on a Friday.
As well as a competitive salary we provide 25 days holiday, pay
bank holidays, employees have the opportunity to accrue dozy days
through target achievement and attendance, we have sick pay,
critical illness and personal accident cover.
